High Performance Computing Awards

iACE PhD student Mr. Ng Yew Seng won two prizes in this year's High Performance Computing (HPC) Challenge 2005/2006. Yew Seng's work on "Decision support for preventing accidents in offshore platforms via grid computing" won the First prize in the Grid Computing Category. His work on "Massive, Real-time Pattern Recognition for Fault Diagnosis in Chemical Plants through Collaboration of Heterogeneous Methods" was selected for the Second prize in the cluster parallel speedup category.
